2019/In the Pipeline
This is a large three-value study of one of my bedrock images -- taken from a photo that my mother took of me with my Vacation Bible School class way back in the day. I am in the one on the far right, in the checkered short pants I hated (but my mother loved) and the classic bowl-cut hair style of that time. This is a large piece worked on 12x12-inch gesso boards. Some time in 2019, I will be deconstructing this image in a number of ways. The emphasis will be on exploring the visual possibilities of all the cool shapes in here -- getting away from the literal "picture" in this photo and into some new exciting ways of seeing and using it. Stay tuned.
